Iron Sharpens Iron
Iron Sharpens Iron is time for men in the church to meet and dig into God’s Word in a practical and engaging way.
We meet in the foyer of St Paul’s Church from 8:30am to 10:30am to eat breakfast, study the Bible, and encourage one another on the last Saturday of the winter months.
Study: We will be studying “Loving God and Others – the heart of True Faith” – such a foundational topic. Here are some of the other things we’ll be learning when we meet:
- What does it take to live a life that pleases God?
- What does God really want from me?
- How do we show non-believers the love of God?
- And much more
Cost: You will need to bring £3 for breakfast and £6.75 for the study booklet which lasts 6 months.

Men’s Weekend Away
18th - 20th June 2027
Our Men’s weekend away will take place from 18th - 20th June 2027 at the Manor House Hotel on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. If you want a spiritual revitalisation, physical activities of every type up the ying-yang (over 50 of them!) and great fellowship, this weekend is for you.
We meet on Friday evening at 6 pm with a hearty evening meal (as much as you want to eat), and finish by 1230 on Sunday. We will be looking carefully into the Word of God, learning more about Jesus, praying for each other and then burning off some physical energy with more choices of sport than you can imagine.
