Back to it...

After weeks of playing up, I can again access the Blog!  Apologies if you've got bored silly returning here only to find no updates...

WE ARE WORKING ON IT!

Well. what an amazing July Project! It was just incredible to see our painting and decorating and gardening have such an immediate effect on people. One woman in particular who was very shy and reserved when I first met her, was just delighted to show me around her decorated flat.  She was under threat of being evicted last Tuesday if things hadn't improved. Others had very positive conversations with the young people, and one has attended church for the last few weeks!  Great stuff!

It was also striking to see how hard all the guys on the Project worked - and for 5 days on the trot! As ever, it was one of the best weeks of my year, and there is no way we're going to wait until next year to do this kind of work again... so watch out for some dynamic opportunities in the Sept-Dec term.

After a VERY WET week at New Wine, I'm now back at the desk and trying to tie up some lose ends before preparing for the annual pilgrimage to Soul Survivor (or Swamp Survivor as it may well become known...!).  Over 40 young people are attending with us this year - get your response forms and cash in if you haven't yet managed it please!

Keep dry!
