That was a GOOD weekend!

happy.jpgDo you know, I learnt lots this weekend!  God does that to you - even when you've been at this sort of thing for a LONG time! It all started in Impact where Chris and I were looking at Jesus: A man with a difference. After my brilliant maths tricks (ha!) we looked at Mark 4:35-41 where Jesus calms the storm and explored how both Jesus and the disciples felt. It's incredible to think that they were scared of the storm but TERRIFIED once Jesus had told it to stop! We came to pray at the end, and I felt God guide me to say a few things, and then a few guys responded to ask us to pray for them over this week ahead. We are - and I love the fact God can use us like this! Scary... but wouldn't it be even better to be terrified as God works?  So I want to see more!  Anyway, check out Mark 4 for yourself....

Then the leader who was supposed to be at Encounter's 3-way on worship, praise and prayer, went down ill at the last minute, leaving a huge vacancy in the "prayer" zone!  Again, God seemed to direct what I should say as I stepped in.... and wow, it was so good to again see Him use me.

So what was so new about all that?  Well, for me it was just a refreshing reminder that God is SO FAITHFUL as we pursue Him.  So faithful.

So what about you, reading this? Are you pursuing Him? Have you followed up the talks you heard on Sunday with action? Here alone, there are some great options coming up to get involved in... so check these out!

The Encounter Weekend Away is still taking bookings.  Take a risk and come with us for a great activities weekend, but above all a fantastic opportunity to meet with this PURE GOD (our theme for this year). Go back a few posts to find the booking forms on line.

DeeperIMPACT meets again on Friday, 5-7pm in SP2. Loads of you were at the last one, which was great fun!  So do get there this week, and bring your mates!

Then next Fri (5th Feb) the newly-relaunched Lounge opens its doors with a difference as we also get the opportunity to go and serve locally in community action. More details this weekend, but do get onboard!

And more and more people are getting serious about TaG - so if you're still to sign up, speak to steve [dot] inglis [at] stpaulssalisbury [dot] org (Steve )asap and get started with a mentor - it's a sure way to grow!
