All Practical - No theory!

Sunday night saw Encounter spending a whole hour with God either drawing, reading or listening to the silence.

There was almost no sound to be heard from a young person for almost 60 God - filled minutes on Sunday night! The topic was 'in relationship with God' and the leaders decided not to teach on this subject but to let you guys get involved and have a go! There was a reflective room full of candles and silence, a worship room with yet more candles, chairs laid out in a cross shape and various images designed to get us reflecting on our God.

Many of you appreciated the space and felt it was good to have the time 'forced upon you' as it made you take the time to meet with God. Others of you renewed your determination to keep on spending time with God, and the encouragement from us is 'come on!'

A small reminder that the long awaited Encounter Wide Game is this Thursday at 7.30pm (not on our usual Friday) and that this Sunday night is on 'Jesus: Mate or Master?'
