What a weekend that was!

receivinggod2.jpgWe had a terrific Impact Weekend Away last weekend which saw us take 28 11-14 year olds to the superb setting of Branksome Park, Poole.

A great combination of beautiful sunshine, a great beach and Chine, and some great times of teaching and fellowship, saw us all make progress in our faith, and get closer as a group. It was especially encouraging to see many young people take positive steps forward in their walk with God - and to see Him meeting with them.  Great stuff!

As we rush on into July, the annual July Project week of community action for exam-completers, gets underway on Mon 12 July and we are recruiting NOW! So please do let the Team know asap if you can join us.  This year we are focussing our work at Barnabas House - an Alabare Hostel for women - and the new allotments for Alabare's Learning Difficulty clients, along with a couple of smaller decorating and gardening jobs. We need all the hands we can get - so do join us as we put our faith into action.

And then the Big Bashes are upon us on 9th July (5-7pm for Impact and 7:30-10pm for Encounter).  Tickets are available NOW from the Youth Office, so please book your place this weekend!  Featuring a range of inflatables, music, and a BBQ, both events will be a great end to the term.  And all are welcome!
