Another Big Saturday update

Many thanks to the 75ish people who took part in Another Big Saturday! It was so encouraging to see some new as well as old faces join our teams as we set off into 16 placements to serve the local community.  From isolated individuals, to those living with enduring mental health issues, our placements offered real opportunities to make a real difference.

One of our residents phoned earlier in the week to say "Wow!  Thank you so much!  I am stood at my window looking at my new patio, and, well, wow!  I cannot thank the team enough!"

We were so encouraged to hear of anxious individuals remaining in for the whole day, and even joining in with the decorating.  These are really significant steps forward for individuals - and it is a real privilege to be part of what God is doing in their lives - way beyond our church buildings.

It's also exciting to see the strengthening of links with some of the great charities which work in this city - and we are so grateful for their support and belief in us.

In the Bible, John writes, "Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." Let's continue to do this regularly, not just when Big Saturdays call us to - and let's continue to build God's kingdom here in Salisbury.
