We're right in the middle of Pickfords packing all our stuff up ready to move to the States where Richard is going to be installed as the Rector of the Church of the Good Samaritan on the 28th January. We're flying out on the 10th January.
Many thanks for your kind farewells, and the lovely picture of St Paul's that you gave us on Christmas Day. Ruth and the children are planning on being at one last Sunday morning service this Sunday; Richard is taking the morning service at St Martin's.
Lots of people have asked for our address details in the States.

I'm really pleased to say that we heard this morning that the I-360 has been approved (the immigration petition which establishes our eligibility for a visa). We now enter a long visa processing stage which means that we won't be actually moving until Christmas at the earliest. We will be saying goodbye, but not quite yet...

Feedback from Richard Morgan's (our Associate Minister) week with two parishes in Wallington. God was very much at work, and a number of people came to new faith in Jesus. An encouragement to us in Salisbury to keep sharing our faith as a priority in our life as a church.

I'm off today as part of the 'Passion for Life' team going to Wallington, Surrey. There's a team of 16 of us, and our aim is to present the good news of Jesus clearly. We want people to be able to find a new faith in Jesus.

Back to Church Sunday (last Sunday in September) drew quite a few newcomers to church. We always provide a warm welcome at St Paul's and that Sunday was no exception. Beyond 'just' the welcome is the church family. Newcomers to church need to be able to become a part of that family as soon as possible. If you're a church regular do take the opportunity over the next few weeks to look out for those you don't recognise and get to know them and introduce them to a few folks.
