On Saturday 9th October, St Paul's choir hosted 'Give thanks and sing' - an evening concert in aid of Enlarging the Tent, our redevelopment project.
Giving thanks for all God has done so far and all that He has in store for us in the future, the evening included choir items such as 'The Lord's my Shepherd' and 'The Rhythm of Life', a ladies trio singing Gershwin, a string quartet playing Elgar, and to some gospel and worship accompanied by the band.

St Paul's had the privilege of hosting The Saltmine Theatre Company's production 'From Eden to Eternity' last night and I, for one, found their presentation of the Bible in just over an hour, both entertaining and powerful.

We are looking for individuals willing to share something of what God has done in their lives for the evening service of Sunday 27th June, which will focus on Praise and Testimony.
Psalm 145 tells us, "One generation will commend you works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts... All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you. They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendour of your kingdom."

Getting up early to pray can be hard... but Jesus did it: "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed" (Mark 1:35). However hard it is though, God is always faithful to meet his people and to speak to us. Why not join us some time to find out for yourself?

Sunday 20th December saw the church fill with people 'flocking' to this year's Christmas services (excuse the Christmas pun). Seats were filled both morning and evening as families gathered for a live nativity story in the morning and people of all backgrounds worshipped together for the candlelit evening service.

We are putting together a Christmas Choir to prepare for the traditional Carols by Candlelight service on the evening of Sunday 20th December. We'll be learning to sing a selection of carols and a couple of 'performance' items, mostly in four-part harmony, meeting every Friday evening from 6th November to 18th December. Please sign-up at the Welcome Desk to indicate your interest so that we have some idea of numbers.
