Faith in Action

July Project 2011.jpg

At St Paul’s Church, we don’t just believe good news; we want to be good news!  So it was great to see 138 people from the church put their faith into action back in July as they decorated, gardened, cleaned and tidied for people across Salisbury.  22 teams of all ages spent a day working with people referred to St Paul's by agencies such as Community4 and Alabare Include.

What do you think when you see a hoody?

Shaun Hill 2.JPGFor some people it’s a cause for concern so much so that they cross the road to avoid what it may represent. But for Shaun Hill, from St Paul’s Church Salisbury it sparked a great campaign to help 94 children in Bulgaria find a positive identity in a broken society.

Church Family Picnic!

On July 3rd we had our Church Picnic in the grounds of St Paul’s School, after the morning service. The bouncy castle proved to be very popular with the younger ones and throughout the afternoon football, volleyball and many other outdoor games including giant Jenga and a treasure hunt was enjoyed by all. picnic.jpg

New Leadership Team From September

Our Associate Minister, Rev Richard Morgan will be leaving us once visa applications are complete to lead a church in Philadelphia and Salisbury Diocese has informed us that they will not provide us with another member of the clergy. This provides us with an opportunity to put in place a new church staffing structure making full use of the lay leadership talent already within the church. After a good deal of thought and prayer the PCC has agreed that Andrew Robertson and Jon Langford will become our new Associate Leaders with new responsibilities.
