We are looking for individuals willing to share something of what God has done in their lives for the evening service of Sunday 27th June, which will focus on Praise and Testimony.
Psalm 145 tells us, "One generation will commend you works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts... All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you. They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendour of your kingdom."
Sunday 27th June will be an opportunity to share what God has done (or is doing), to encourage on another, and to have our faith stirred and built-up as we hear how He is at work among us.
Testimonies don't need to be long - the Psalmist testifies in brief at times: "I sought the LORD and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears" (Psalm 34:4) - but they do need to be told: Jesus told a man he had delivered from a spirit, "Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you and how he has had mercy on you" (Mark 5:19).
As St Paul wrote to Timothy, "God did not give us a spirit of timidity... So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord" (2 Timothy 1:7-8).
If you have something to share, please speak to Nic Arkley by Sunday 20th June at the very latest. Thank you.
