We are blessed by - and experiencing the fruit of - previous generations' faith and obedience to God's call on them. Now, God is calling us as a body to 'enlarge the place of our tent,' just as our predecessors have done before us.
'Do not hold back' is God's instruction to us: do not hold back in praying, do not hold back in encouraging one another, do not hold back in giving... 'lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.' There is nothing half-hearted about this call: 'stretch your tent curtains wide.' We should expect much of our mighty God but we must also trust Him much and give Him much.

Belief in the power of prayer is central to the success of our redevelopment project; without prayer we shall neither be regularly placing the project into God's safe, reliable and powerful hands, nor be seeking His guidance to see that we are continuing to go in the right direction. Prayer is a two-way process and we want to be asking God for His generous support at each stage and also to be listening to Him for guidance of each step as we move forward.
Every step of the way so far has been bathed in prayer; from concept to design, from presentation to modification; from launch to response. We have formed a specific Prayer Support Team to commit every event and action to prayer, and feedback has been carefully considered. Of course, every meeting that is considering the project needs to be preceded and followed by prayer. Every service leaflet needs to include a reminder to us all to keep praying. Every member of the congregation needs to keep praying. So please do pray! Thank you.

- Thanksgiving for progress to date
- Guidance and wisdom for future decisions

If you don't feel you have the money to give, pray about it and pick up the ReachOut brochure (available at the display in Church) to give you some ideas of how you might use your time, skills and/or belongings to raise some money. Alternatively, download the ReachOut brochure (above on the right).
Remember the widow at the temple (see Mark 12:41-44): in God's Kingdom, every little counts!
