'Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.
For you will spread out to the right and to the left.'
Isaiah 54:2-3a

The desire to grow and develop has been part of the church's mission down the centuries and our predecessors at St Paul's have established a precedent of reaching out. Now it is our turn to 'Enlarge the Tent' for future generations and to invest in the future spiritual growth of the people of Salisbury, and beyond.

At St Paul's an ever-increasing number of people meet for group activities. In 2007, regular activities of all age groups involved over 3,000 people-hours every week (a number that has continued growing since!) and many of the present facilities are simply inadequate in terms of cost effectiveness, capacity, access and acceptable standards.

Following on from extensive explorations of a wide range of options from 2003-2006, and after much prayer, the present four-phase, five-year buildings redevelopment scheme was adopted in September 2006.

'Enlarging the Tent' - St Paul's redevelopment project - was launched on 29th April 2007 and building started in March 2008. Find out the latest by reading progress reports in the church news section and looking through the photos on the main enlarging the tent page.

From the outset, prayer has been the primary focus. We are completely dependent on God but we also recognise that He is calling us to act. A Fund Releasing Team has been established to help us work out how every one of us may play our unique part in this exciting venture without it being a burden. The ethos of the team is one of communicating, encouraging, enabling and involving. Find out how you can support the project. Thank you!
